Telecoms & Data Cabling Help And Advice

Q: What paperwork is needed to register with iCobus?
A: Generally we require 3 basic forms of identification to prove rights to work in the UK, being a valid passport, Blue/Yellow Visa (if applicable) and National Insurance Number. We will also request an up to date CV, this allows us to fully understand out engineers’ abilities. We will ask you to scan and email these documents to us as proof of ID.

Q: What information is needed to register with iCobus?
A: Once we receive proof to rights to work in the UK, we will send out our registration documents this includes: Criminal convictions declaration, 48 hour opt-out form, Candidate registration and Non-disclosure agreement.

Q: What are the main criteria required to work on site?
A: Generally on most jobs would require a CSCS card and full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) dependant on the locations or environment of the work.

Q: What safety equipment (PPE) will I need on site?
A: It is advised that all contractors have basic PPE available to hand encase it is needed for work, this will include:

  • Safety Boots
  • High-Visibility Jackets
  • Hard Hat
  • Gloves
  • Safety Glasses
